The gem holds the color of Douglas fir in winter, cool blue green against deep red cranberries.
A round blue green moissanite rests at the center of a square window shadowbox, framed in pointed arches that feel like a small shard of cathedral glass rescued from the elves abandoned chapel. I engraved the pattern into steel, then rolled reclaimed sterling through the mill to raise the design, cutting and shaping the box by hand before setting the stone in its dark little well.
