At the heart of this shadowbox glows a natural peridot, bright and full of quiet mischief. It sits behind a gothic quatrefoil window, its color recalling something picked too early or enchanted too long. The sides are carved with a trailing border of vinework, but look closely, hidden among the scrolling silver are tiny flying bats, the collection’s only winged guardians.
