I have had these beauties in waiting in the wings patiently for a few months. I finally decided to give them there time in the the sun. Each one is unique and one of a kind. I can never decide which one to make, so I made all of them. They are made from the cast off or remnants of other Opal projects.
Measurements: The Opals are large 18x25mm and the pendant is 1 5/8" tall. The sterling silver chain is 18" long.
These are individually handmade with recycled silver and has minor tool marks and imperfections with the nature of any handmade items.
All the Opal Doublets are created in house from Opal Rough from the people who create them, and smooth or faceted hydroquartz (manmade). Creating the doublet serves 2 purposes. It allow for a soft delicate stone to much more durable. Ands a high gloss finish to better few all of the play of fire within the stone. Without having to baby the Opal like natural Opals that can crack or absorb oils and other chemicals which effects the play of fire.
