The turquoise shimmers with earthy blues and greens, as if the stone itself mourns. Framed in sterling silver, this piece is a portrait of faded beauty, myth, and grief carved in mineral and metal.
I choose this hand cut Cloud Mountain Turquoise from the Hubei Province in China. I created a doublet with a faceted stone on top for extra durability. Turquoise can crack or dry out after a few years of wear. I wanted this to be an heirloom piece from you favorite eccentric great Aunt.
