Blue Minerva is a Lady with gallows humor, dressed in blue in 1918.
Set within the upcoming Mortlock universe, this one of a kind interactive traveler’s journal combines shadowed guild halls, apothecary shelves, weathered ledgers, hidden correspondence, and the quiet suggestion that someone has already handled the problem. Snarky little snippets appear throughout for those who prefer their humor with a little teeth.
The reinforced hardcover holds three writing signatures with 22 folded sheets and 88 writable pages. Authentic vintage and antique ledger designs from public domain collections are printed on premium paper, leaving generous room for notes, collected fragments, and carefully documented grievances.
The elastic binding allows individual pages to be rearranged or replaced and entire signatures to be removed or exchanged. The cover also accommodates Hobonichi Weeks sized inserts, making it possible to continue using Blue Minerva long after the original pages have been filled.
Layered pockets, showcase pages, magnetic envelopes, miniature file folders, and handmade ephemera are hidden throughout. Hand rusted paper clips and miniature bronze bulldog clips hold the signatures closed. The final side loading pocket contains a loose envelope with three miniature dividers for receipts or evidence you may require later.
Every element was designed, printed, cut, hand inked, intentionally aged, and assembled by me. Historical imagery was selected from public domain and CC0 collections, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Internet Archive.
Blue Minerva includes a removable elastic band to hold the cover closed when not in use. She was built to last and designed to become more beautiful with handling. The wear acquired through use will simply add another layer to her distressed finish.
